COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SELECTED POLICY FIELDS
Duration: 8 months
Activity Type: Review of the Literature / Desk Top Research
Objectives
The key objective of the comparative research project is to identify and analyse innovative social services that help to integrate newcomers into local communities. The research teams will not take the full range of policy measures into account; instead they will concentrate on selected areas of social policy activity. Work package 3 encompasses an in-depth description and analyses of the policy traditions and respective regulations at the local level in the following policy fields:
- education
- employment
- vulnerable groups
- social assistance (incl. legal aid)
Aims
To conduct a comparative analysis of the regulatory framework, funding structure and welfare mix (providers) of four social policy fields which are crucial for the integration of newcomers (refugees, migrants, migrant workers) into local communities.
