Objectives
Work package 5 identifies the selection criteria of cases for the in-depth case studies of work package 6 of cooperation between local state and social organizations. This translates into:
- a systematic analysis of local press reporting, Chinese and Western secondary literature, official documents, internal documents provided by the authorities of the respective cities on state-SO co-operation in the fields of education, employment, vulnerable groups and social assistance (incl. legal aid) for migrant populations
- qualitative guided interviews with individual staff responsible and/or involved in this kind of state-SO co-operation within the local authorities and social organizations
Aims
To develop a lentative list of selection criteria for the case studies to be discussed at the mid-term workshop in Beijing
To develop a tentaive field guide taking the variable of the comparative reports (of WPs 2,3 and 4) into account
